Summer Reading Program  

Once again this year, TD Bank Financial Group, the Toronto Public Library and Library and Archives Canada are proud to support literacy in Canada by offering the TD Summer Reading Club to Canadian children across the nation. Award-winning author Stéphane Jorisch has created the beautiful illustrations for 2010.

The TD Summer Reading Club has been successful in inspiring children to spend more time reading books and visiting their local libraries. During the summer of 2009, more than half a million children participated in programs offered at their local libraries and read close to 2 million books!  The goals of the TD Summer Reading Club are to encourage and strengthen the habit of reading for pleasure to create life-long learners, to increase children's reading skills and reduce summer learning loss.

Get ready to travel to exotic and exciting places and discover nature's wonders right on the shelves of your local library with the TD Summer Reading Club's Destination Jungle.

Teen Reading Club. 

 The Teen RC welcomes readers aged 13-18. The Teen Reading Club (formerly known as the Teen Summer Reading Club) allows teens to read books, post their own reviews and personal writing, participate in online chats, discuss books with peers from all over Canada, and win prizes for the reviews they submit.

Storytime 

Storytime is an hour of crafts, songs, stories and fun for 3 to 5 year olds.  Sessions are ongoing from September until May with your choice of Monday or Tuesday mornings.

Rhyme Time

Come and introduce your babies to songs, finger plays, simple books and bouncing rhymes.  Rhyme Time runs September through June on Thursday mornings from
10:30am to 11:30am.  Small snack served!  Sponsored by the Parent Link Center.
